As we approach six wonderful months of being in business, I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share my gratitude. These past months have been filled with celebrations, creativity, community, and so many special moments inside our charming space on Third Street. To everyone who has stopped by over the summer, booked a party, attended a class, or helped spread the word about CJs On Third—thank you. Word of mouth is everything for a new business, and your support has truly helped us launch with momentum, excitement, and purpose.

Who I Am & How This Dream Began

I was born and raised in southern Michigan, where I fell in love with the outdoors early on. From hunting and fishing to kayaking, lake days, and exploring the Great Lakes, I’m a country girl at heart who always felt most at home outside. I’m also a lifelong foodie—I hold a degree in business management and culinary arts, and I’m a certified chef who finds joy in cooking as my favorite hobby.

Before opening CJs On Third, I spent 10 years in corporate sales and later became certified as a corporate event planner. But back in February, I felt a shift. My corporate job no longer fulfilled me, and I knew I had something more meaningful to build. So I took a leap—one that required courage, research, patience, and a whole lot of learning—and began searching for the perfect space to bring my vision to life.

When I found the beautiful space on Third Street, I knew instantly: this was meant to be a place where memories are made. I poured my initials, Carli Jacquelin, into the name, and the dream of CJs On Third came to life in the heart of downtown Perrysburg. Being part of this community and surrounded by incredible neighboring businesses has been such an honor. I look forward to continuing to support and grow with all of you.

A Sweet Announcement

In addition to celebrating our half-year anniversary, I’m overjoyed to share that I am expecting a baby boy any day now! During my time off in December, I’ll be soaking up newborn snuggles while also reviewing our first six months, planning for the year ahead, and dreaming up incredible events for 2026.

Rest assured—CJs On Third will continue to run smoothly. I’m blessed with an amazing team who will be assisting with all parties, workshops, and bookings while I’m away.

Gratitude for My Biggest Supporter

I also want to take a moment to thank someone very special: my biggest supporter, Mr. Nick Williams. From the very first spark of this idea, he has been the steady voice reminding me that I am capable of absolutely anything. He’s the behind-the-scenes cheerleader who nudged me to take the leap, the patient listener during the late-night planning sessions, and the guy who never once doubted that I could turn this dream into something real.

And now, watching him step with excitement into fatherhood… I already know he’s going to be incredible. I’m so thankful for this new chapter we’re stepping into together.
